Prior to her work conducting employment and campus investigations, Molly Shepard, J.D., spent over a decade of her career practicing litigation and employment law at international, midsize and boutique law firms, as well as serving as a confidential law clerk to a Federal District Court Judge. Molly represented clients in state and federal court as well as the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Labor. Molly skillfully handled internal and external complaints for clients ranging from small businesses to large corporations, including healthcare institutions, universities, and local and national for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.  

Most recently, Molly served as the Lead Investigator handling Title VII and Title IX-related complaints at a major university and healthcare institution. In that role, Molly led hundreds of workplace and campus investigations involving allegations of discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment and sexual assault, and retaliation.  These investigations involved employees from entry level to senior leadership as well as students and faculty. Molly also conducted numerous trainings for faculty, students and staff related to the internal investigations process for both employee and student complaints.   

Molly is an active member of the community and serves on the Board of Directors of Empowering People’s Independence (EPI). Molly is the Secretary of the Board of Directors and the Chair of the Corporate Compliance and Development Committees. In her role, Molly facilitates the Board’s oversight of the agency’s internal and external investigations. Molly is also involved in numerous philanthropic organizations benefiting the Rochester community.
